Congratulations to our awesome school. We this semester have the great opportunity to hatch the largest bird in the world. If anyone wants the business who helped us out with this opportunity please let me know. In a few sentences explain a few things that you have learned in class about ostrich birds.
Ostrich birds come from Africa. It is the largest bird in the world that can run up to 43 mph. The bird itself can reach up to 9ft tall and can weight up to 250 lbs.

ReplyDeleteThe only way to find out if the ostrich bird is fertile or not is by putting a light or something. they lay around 60 eggs per year. they can grow up to 9 feet (male) 6.6 feet for female.
ReplyDeleteIn poultry we learned about Birds, the ones that we plan on hatching like chickens, and the one we attempted to hatch was a emu. But honestly you can learn about any animal and any plant in poultry.

ReplyDeleteSome things i learned about ostriches are that their scientific name is Struthio camelus. The height of the male ostrich ranges from 6.9 to 9.2 ft. and the female ranges from 5.6 to 6.6 ft. They lay one of biggest eggs. When they feel threatened , they use their legs as protection and kick the enemy. When the female lays her egg, the male tends to protect it by sitting on it instead of the female.
